Munawir has been serving as the
Director of the Higher Education Service Office (LLDIKTI) for Region XVI since June 2022. In this vital role, he leads and coordinates higher education services across three provinces: Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, and North Sulawesi. His responsibilities are quality assurance, academic development, and institutional governance for the region's higher education institutions.
His career is marked by extensive leadership and public service. He has held numerous key positions, including Head of the General Affairs Division and Head of Institutional Affairs and Information Systems for
LLDIKTI Region IX. His experience also extends to the national level, having served as Manager for Public Service Quality Improvement and Head of the Public Communication Division for the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education. Additionally, he has served as the Head of the Mass Media Communication Subdivision and the Head of the Press and Media Subdivision within the same ministry.
His background includes serving as a Policy Analyst for International Science and Technology Cooperation with the Ministry of Research and Technology, giving him a unique perspective on global academic collaboration.
Academically, Munawir holds a Master of Public Administration degree from
Universitas Indonesia, one of Indonesia's top universities. He is also currently a doctoral candidate in Public Administration at
Universitas Negeri Makassar. His extensive expertise covers critical areas such as higher education governance, public administration and policy analysis, public communication and media relations, institutional development and reform, as well as international science and technology cooperation.
